Arabtalk Rules

Operators Accounts & Passwords:

1. Special commands and features are given to a type of users called Operators who log in with password. That will prevent others from logging with the operators nick, and give the Operator a full responsibility of his/her actions. 
2. Operators are responsible of protecting their passwords. 
3. Operators who exercise their power unfairly will be disabled or their nickname will be deleted. Operators action will be tracked for any abuse 
4. Publicly accusing an Operator of unfair behavior, or asking them to justify their actions is reason for a kick or ban. If an Operator is acting unfairly, make a report to administration by typing /cmail arabtalk or by sending an e-mail to chat@arabtalk.net 
5. Only Operators can reserve nicks and Ops shouldn't help regular users to steal a nick away from someone who had it first that day

Smart Action Process (SAP): [Warn – Kick – Ban – Sus]

1. if a User/Operator posted bad language or did any illegal action except advertisement. The following procedure must take place: 
-The Witness Operator must Warn the abuser with a proper reason.
-If the abuser repeated the same action he/she must be kicked
-If he/she came back and repeated the same action, then the witness Operator can /Ban, /userBan or /sus the abuser. 
2. Each Warn, Kick, Ban or Sus must be followed by a clear valid reason. Otherwise it well be conceder abuse. 

Advertisements:.

1. If a user posted any advertisement for a competitive service in public, Operator must Kick, then clear his message from public. 
2. if a user posted an advertisement in private, an operator can kick him immediately & if any other op request a forward from that operator, then he must forward his messages or it will be considered abuse 
3. For any complain from users about other users posting advertisements in their privet, the complaining user must forward his privet messages before the operator take any action. 
4. If an Operator posted any advertisement in public or privet, the witness Operator must report this abuse (/abuse) or forward his privet to another Operator then (/sus) the abusing Operator. This might cause the disable of the abusers account! 

Posting links:

1. Posting links for other sites is allowed unless it was linking to another chat or a site that has a link for other chat. This should be handled as what have been advised under advertisement. 
2. Posting Links that contain adult materials is not allowed and should be cleared after taking any SAP action. 
3. If a user complained about someone posting him/her illegal links, he/she must /forwarded it to an Operator before taking any SAP action 

Posting Telephone numbers:

1. If a User/Operator posted any tel. number in Public, A SAP action should be in place and his/her message must be clear after each action. 
2. If a User/Operator posted any tel. number in Privet and that was annoying to use, just ignore (/igr) him/her. But if he insisted on that with some other nick name, then the abuser should be kicked directly after a forward is sent to another operator. 
3. Posting ICQ number or e-mail addresses is allowed in Public or Privet and should not be dealt with as the above. 

Flooding:

1. The following actions are considered to be flooding and SAP will be taking against: 
- Posting messages Rapidly or Repeatedly in public
- Posting excessively long, duplicate, single character or word per line messages in public.
2. If any User/Operator flooded in privet, then SAP should not be used unless other preventing action could not stop the flooder. /fl and /igr commands could be used to eliminate the disturb. 

Filtering and Clearing Commands:

1. Filter and clear commands are used ONLY to handle bad language, flooding and advertisements. 
2. Clearing another User/Operator messages with ought a valid reason well be considered abuse. 
3. filtering words or characters which would clear the whole chat screen is considered abused as well. 

Language and Public Behavior Policy:

1. Hostile, insulting or harassing behavior is not allowed. 
2. Use of vulgar/bad nickname or language on the chat is prohibited, no warning should be required and you will be banned. Please think before you type. Language policies apply to all public rooms 
3. Requesting cyber sex in public should be SAP handled. If it was in privet the concern party should use /fl or /igr commands, but if the requester insisted on it a SAP must be in place. 
4. Operators engaging in revenge activities or kick or ban wars with other Operators is grounds for a deop by administration and possibly permanent account removal. 
5. If an Operator got a forward from a user that containing a phone number, bad language or illegal links, the Operator can kick the abuser immediately 

Unacceptable behaviors & actions:

1. Kicking for GHOST nicks is not allowed, no exceptions, many users come on posing that they have gotten disconnected to get another user they don't like kicked off or they want to get the nick the other users have. In case that the chatter asked to kick his stuck nick, never kick before the idle counter reaches 300 sec which means 5 minutes. 
2. Posting private messages in public is restricted, if u want to alert any Op about a bad private message use the command /forward <Op nick>, if the Op did not react about it please make a report to administration by typing /cmail arabtalk or by sending an e-mail to chat@arabtalk.net and use the command /abuse to send a copy of the chat for Admin as an evidenced 
3. Any type of hacking attempts are not allowed
